Art Department Assistant
Set Dressing - Set Decorating - Props
● Assisted the art department in set dressing, decorating and props.
● Painted, wallpapered and dressed a large entire house in 4 days.
● Dressed another 4 sets.
● Assisted standby props when needed.
● Used snow effects.
● Helped install and use breakaway glass.
● Designed and or built props that were used including beds, a menu, pictures, food and drink.
● Helped landscape a large garden from summer to winter and back to summer within a tight timescale.
● Worked throughout the night on the last week to paint the main set used in filming.
● Completed strike of many sets.
2017
DENMARK
● Assisted the art department in set dressing, decorating and props.
● Dressed over 6 sets from scratch.
● Helped standby props.
● Assisted with rain effects.
● Built giant beach bonfires and used hidden fire pyrotechnics to light and put them out.
● Completed strike of all sets at the end of filming.
● Helped transform a university into a prison using appropriate signage set dressing and helping install huge iron prison bars.
● Aged a number of motorway signs appropriately.
● Wallpapered, aged and dressed a house ready for filming.

● Assisted the art department in set dressing and props.
● I had the opportunity to assist set decoration, set dressing and standby on set during filming which allowed me to get a firmer grip on the many roles of the art department.
● Dressed a huge water set from scratch.
● Shadowed standby props, and assisted with last minute changes.
● Whittled 40 last minute clothes pegs as the ones purchased were not fit for purpose.
● Made and set up bunting used for a party scene.
● Assisted with blood effects and fixed a bent impaled spear during filming.
2016-2017

● Had 6 regular SA roles for a 10 episode series.
● Spent downtime shadowing and helping various departments gaining a greater understanding of the entertainment industry and its workings.
● Worked long and unsociable hours throughout winter with a huge smile whilst wearing very little!
